QualificationsBachelor’s Degree: (Preferred)Management Experience: 3 years (Preferred) Leadership Experience: 3 years (Preferred) Grant Writing and ManagementFull Job Description Get Connected is a local non-profit agency currently accepting applications for the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director position is a working director position, responsible for coordinating all organizational activities associated with the GC815 organizations services and operations. The ED will be actively involved with community organizations, promoting the programs and volunteer services and needs of the agency. This position is responsible for the grant generation and administration, in-house accounting, marketing, HR and other organizational duties as needed. Duties include but are not limited to:• Establish program goals and objectives• Develop and maintain volunteer base and infrastructure• Assist with recruitment of volunteers for all programs• Supervise, direct, and interact with staff• Highlight program initiatives through meaningful Public Relations• Build collaborative relationships throughout Winnebago County• Seek grant opportunities, write for grants, and monitor for duration of grant each grant cycle• Basic accounting work with agency Accountant and Auditor• Maintenance and updates of agency policies and procedures• Renewal of charitable organization and state licenses• Development of fundraising options Work closely with the Board of Directors focusing on Program Vision, Annual Budget, and Strategic PlanningBachelor’s Degree (Preferred) coupled with 3-5 years leadership, preferably in the non-profit sector is preferred. Proficiency in budget preparation, fundraising, grant writing and maintaining donations database and monthly financial statements desired. Should be adept in Public Speaking and Volunteer Outreach. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, is essential. Required Experience/Qualifications. Thorough knowledge of how systemic racism and the disenfranchisement of persons living within the geographical areas carved out for the impact and purposes of this grant funded position. We would like to offer this position to those with lived experience. Some college or technical training in social services or human services and 2 years of experience in working in case management, victim advocacy, community engagement, criminal justice, violence prevention, social service, grassroots organizations, or the equivalent. Experience in managing projects, grants and budgets preferred. Familiar and comfortable with the use of technology and programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs and email. Possession of a valid Illinois driver’s license. GRANT FUNDING ADVISEMENT: This position is 100% funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services, Office of Gun Violent Prevention. Grant funding for the current grant period expires on June 30, 2024. Acceptance of this position shall not be construed as a guarantee of employment beyond the grant-funded period.
