Project Manager
ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICESGREATER ILLINOIS REIMAGINE VIOLENCE PREVENTION SERVICESPROJECT MANAGER
NATURE OF WORK :The Violence Prevention (VPS) Project Manager is a 1.0 FTE position who will oversee and manage the Illinois Department of Human Services FY23 Greater Illinois Reimagine Violence Prevention Program funds and ensure the success of the project, adherence to all IDHS requirements and policies, and fidelity of the program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The VP Project Manager is responsible for adhering to the terms and conditions of the IDHS grant agreement, policies, and applicable laws and regulations related to the grant project. This includes managing grant funded staff or third-party contractors he/she has delegated or hired to assist in performing the VP Project goals and objectives; monitoring expenditures to ensure grant funds are spent in accordance with the approved budget; ensuring the completion and timely submission of all reports to the granting agency; ensuring that a copy of all reports submitted to the granting agency is properly maintained in the central file; ensuring continuation proposals, if applicable, are submitted on time; ensuring that sub awardees are managed and monitored in compliance with signed agreements;, and other requirements of the award.
VPS Project Manager will be responsible for management and deliverables of the FY23 Greater Illinois Reimagine Violence Prevention Program Project as awarded to Get Connected 815, including:• Maintain data related to required performance measures and standards as well as additional community-centered performance measures and indicators of success.• Assist Executive Director and Lead Outreach in the development and implementation of program policies and procedures including the DEI/Racial Justice Plan. • Preparation and submission of required periodic performance reports and fiscal reports in a timely manner. • Ensuring program participant files contain the required data and documentation and that confidentiality practices are adhered to.• Develop and implement project-wide staff improvement, training and self-care framework.• Ensure that programming is infused with trauma-informed principals.• Work with the Executive Director to develop a sustainability plan.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:Works under the overall supervision of the Executive Director of Get Connected Executive Director, who reviews work for effectiveness, timeliness, and overall results achieved.
GRANT FUNDING ADVISEMENT:This position is 100% funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services, Office of Gun Violent Prevention. Grant funding for the current grant period expires on June 30, 2024. Acceptance of this position shall not be construed as a guarantee of employment beyond the grant-funded period.
